Spa, Belgium F1 31st August to 3rd  September 2012

Intro

Superlatives seem inadequate to describe the wonders of Spa-Francorchamps, the greatest modern motor racing circuit in the world. Due to its high-speed winding turns leading to the slow La Source loop then onto Eau Rouge, this track offers sensations unknown on other tracks to both drivers and spectators. The weather in Belgium is sometimes as surprising as the races. It may be raining on one part of the track while the rest of the track is still dry. But whatever the weather, to many people, the track is still 'One of the world's most beautiful race tracks'.

For the discerning guest the MotoExpress Belgium F1 package offers a fantastic grand prix experience. A sensational hotel in the attractive city of Namur situated on the river Meuse. It is an ideal base for the Grand Prix weekend. Transfer to the circuit takes around one hour

Eau Rouge

The 2005 and 2006 F1 World Champion Fernando Alonso explains: "You come into the corner downhill, have a sudden change [of direction] at the bottom and then go very steep uphill. From the cockpit, you cannot see the exit and as you come over the crest, you don't know where you will land. It is a crucial corner for the timed lap, and also in the race, because you have a long uphill straight afterwards where you can lose a lot of time if you make a mistake. But it is also an important corner for the driver's feeling. It makes a special impression every lap, because you also have a compression in your body as you go through the bottom of the corner. It is very strange - but good fun as well."

Sunday Celebration Dinner

We have reserved a very special restaurant for our exclusive use. An opportunity to relax and chat with newly made friends. To recount the wonderful experiences of a high octane race weekend enjoyed.
The conversation just like the wine flows late into the evening as we relive the excitement of the last few days. A wonderful end to a truly memorable weekend.

Extra Days

Explore Namur: The entrance to the Ardennes. From here the hills and valleys of south eastern Belgium form a distinct change to the rather flatter areas of Flanders. French is very much the language of preference in this part of the country, and at times it is hard to remember that this is not an outpost of the French Republic but a country in its own right. No doubt easy for the Belgians to notice, but hard enough for someone who cannot tell the difference between French and Belgian accents.

The city is strategically situated at the confluence of the Sambre and Meuse rivers. Its massive citadel perched high on the bluff overlooks this important junction. Namur is a good place to use as a centre to visit the entire area.
